Why we choose our ingredients
At Farma, we use ingredients chosen for their quality, their natural properties, and the way they enhance flavour, texture, and nourishment. Many of the ingredients below are considered “superfoods” because they’re rich in naturally occurring compounds, nutrients, or functional characteristics that support real-food nutrition.

Açaí Berry
Açaí is a deep purple berry from the Amazon known for its naturally occurring antioxidants and rich berry-chocolate flavour. It adds creaminess and colour without added sugar.
Ashwagandha
A traditional adaptogenic root with a mild, earthy taste. We include ashwagandha in blends that support balance, calm, and grounding.
Camu Camu Berry
A tart, citrus-forward berry naturally rich in vitamin C. It brightens smoothies and enhances fruit-based blends with no added sweeteners.
Cinnamon
Warm, aromatic, and naturally sweet. Cinnamon adds depth and balance to smoothies, especially those with oats, nuts, or plant proteins.
Lucuma
A naturally sweet, golden fruit from the Andes with a soft, caramel-vanilla flavour. Lucuma adds gentle sweetness without sugar and gives smoothies a creamy, rounded taste. It is valued for its naturally occurring nutrients and its ability to enhance flavour without overpowering a blend.
Marine Collagen
A neutral-flavoured structural protein that dissolves smoothly, adding gentle thickness and supporting protein content without altering taste.
Hyaluronic Acid
A naturally occurring molecule valued for its moisture-binding properties. It is flavourless and blends seamlessly into juices or smoothies.
Chicory Inulin
A prebiotic fibre extracted from chicory root. Inulin adds natural mild sweetness and creaminess, improving texture without using bananas or added sugars.
Lion’s Mane & Reishi Mushroom
Lion’s Mane is associated with naturally occurring compounds linked to clarity and focus. Reishi is traditionally known for its calming properties. We use them in finely milled forms that blend smoothly without strong mushroom flavour.
Maca Root
A Peruvian root with a warm, malty, caramel-like flavour. Maca is valued for its adaptogenic qualities and its ability to add natural richness to smoothies.
Rice Protein
A clean, plant-based protein with a light texture. It boosts protein content while keeping blends dairy-free and easy to digest.
Sea Buckthorn Berry
A bright orange berry known for its natural vitamin C content and vivid flavour. Its tart, citrus-like notes lift green and tropical blends.
Sea Moss Gel
A mineral-rich sea vegetable that becomes naturally thick when gelled. It blends smoothly into smoothies, adding body and mild flavour along with naturally occurring iodine and trace minerals.
Spirulina
A nutrient-dense blue-green algae used in small amounts. It contains naturally occurring protein and adds a subtle green richness without overpowering flavour.
